Virgin Media is back online following an hour-long outage that left thousands of Britons unable to access the internet.
According to Down Detector, the problems started at around 11:13 BST, and affected users in the Reading area.
While the reason for the outage remains unclear, more than 3,800 issues were logged on Down Detector.
Of those reports, 70 per cent said they were having issues with landline internet, 22 per cent were experiencing a total blackout, and nin per cent were having problems with mobile internet.
Speaking to MailOnline, Virgin Media confirmed that the issue affected customers in and Mantap168 around Reading.
‘The issue which briefly affected broadband services for some customers in and around Reading has now been fixed,’ they said.
‘We apologise for any inconvenience caused.’

Aside from being unable to access the internet, many users reported being unable to use Virgin Media’s Service Status checker.
MailOnline tried to access the Service Status and was met with a blank screen.
Several frustrated users took to Twitter to discuss the outage.
One user wrote: ‘Please can you confirm when my internet will be fixed?It went down about 15 mins ago but Service Checker is not providing any info! It seems like it is stuck.’
Another added: ‘@virginmedia not able to use your internet which sucks when you’re working from home. do you know when I’ll be able to use the internet again?’
And one vented: ‘Love it when I had planned to start the week of and be super productive, but virgin media doesn’t want me and has turned off the internet.’
