The project examines the position of oral storytelling in regenerating reminiscence, time and place in healing processes, and, extra specifically, orality as contingent, enacted, embodied, interactive and adaptive to instant circumstances and contexts. As such, researcher-creators have to meet dual-expertise requirements that will typically battle (e.g. differing norms of efficiency and excellence in science and art), and so may encounter very different challenges from their colleagues in the the rest of academia. Yet, little or no was known about how these researchers experienced RCR issues, what differences there could be, or how the Canadian research-creation neighborhood responded to institutional RCR policies or provincial/national pointers. This project seeks to create bridges and networks between studio and group practices grounded in both conventional supplies and up to date fabrication.
