Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is commonly depicted as a pyramid consisting of 5 levels: the four lower ranges are grouped collectively as “deficiency” wants and are related to physiological needs, whereas the highest degree is termed “being” or “growth” needs and are associated with psychological wants. The deficiency needs are the requirements of life which must be met, whereas the “progress” wants are desires that regularly form our behavior.
